What is On-site Massage?
As the name implies, it is a massage that can be delivered on-site; in other words, at work or in the workplace, and many employers now offer this facility to their employees as part of an overall employee health and benefits scheme, as employers believe that a happy and healthy workforce is beneficial to productivity and competition.
An on-site massage is not time consuming. It is performed in the workplace as the recipient sits in a special portable massage chair, and enjoys and 15 to 30 minute traditional Chinese acupressure sequence involving the application of gentle movements and pressure to areas of the head, neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands. An on-site massage is convenient as oils are not required, and the client does not have to remove any items of clothing.
What can it treat?
An on-site massage can assist in the alleviation of:
- Muscle soreness & tension
- Stress, relaxing and invigorating the individual.
- Rigidness and limited range of movement, therefore reducing risk of injury
- Blockages to the circulation of oxygen, improving oxygen flow and toxin removal
